JEE Advanced 2014 Exam paper pattern and important dates

With less than two months left for the JEE (Advanced) 2014 it is high time engineering aspirants have a good look at the exam paper pattern in order to prepare in a systematic manner for the examination.

The online registration for the JEE (Advanced) 2014 starts on May 4, 2014 and end on May 9, 2014.

Paper pattern:

The entrance exam is made of two sets of papers of three hours each. The question paper will be available in two languages: English and Hindi. The candidates is required to give their choice of language at the time of online registration.

Each question paper will consist of three separate sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The questions will be of objective (multiple choice) type, designed to test the comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

Negative marking may be applicable in some of the sections.

• Starting date of online registration: May 4, 2014
• Closing date of online registration: May 9, 2014
• Last date for fee payment through e-challan: May 12, 2014
• Date of JEE Advanced 2014: May 25, 2014
• Date of declaration of JEE Advanced 2014 results: June 19, 2014
• Commencement of online IIT/ISM course selection: June 20, 2014
• Closing date of online IIT/ISM course selection: June 24, 2014
• First round of seat allocation: July 1, 2014
• Second round of seat allocation: July 7, 2014
• Third round of seat allocation: July 12, 2014
• Seat withdrawal and refund of provisional admission fee: July 9 to 11, 2014
